Broadcasting social availability

I also feel like I miss out on broadcasting status or social availability. Makes me wonder if a decentralized contact system could also use that (i.e. a global do-not-disturb, or away status, or whatever.). Very OCap-esque?

Saw this topic also crop up here today, so maybe there was some sub-posting going on.
